Health and Human Services Task Force

The Sammamish City Council formed a Health and Human Service Task Force. Members of the task force would represent the following areas: faith groups, schools, human service providers, seniors, service organizations, public safety institutions or the community at large.

Task Force Responsibilities

The ranking and the recommendation of the Task Force will then be shared with the Health and Human Service Committee (Council Committee) for further review and consideration.

  • With staff and Council Committee support, further explore the potential for a Human Services Needs Assessment.

  • With staff and Council Committee support, develop a proposal for the formation of a Health and Human Services Commission to be included in the 2017-18 Biennial Budget discussions.

  • With staff and Council Committee support, evaluate the grant criteria and the grant funding cap and (if needed) prepare a recommendation to the Council Committee.

  • Attend Task Force meetings on a monthly basis and other meetings as may be required to support the work of the Task Force.

  • Report to the Council Committee on a quarterly basis. This is a limited duration Task Force and it is anticipated that the work of the Task Force will conclude on or before December 2017.
