Release Date: Dec. 23, 2015

Effective January 1, 2016 all residents of the Klahanie Annexation Area will become residents of Sammamish (see map below). How will this affect you?

Your address will remain the same, only the City name will change. But even if your mail is addressed to Issaquah, it will still be delivered as the post office delivers based on street address and zip code. Your zip code will remain 98029. If you own a business that is located in Klahanie or does business with Klahanie or Sammamish, you will be required to get a Sammamish license. This can be done at the same time that you renew your state license by going to bls.dor.wa.gov/. You do not need to acquire your license immediately upon incorporation, but you must obtain it some time during 2016.

All service providers and utilities will remain the same. For more information, please click on the Klahanie Annexation link on the left hand side of the website.

If you still have questions, please contact Melonie Anderson, City Clerk at manderson@sammamish.us.
