Transportation Level of Service Update

This page provides resources and information covering the current process to update the City's Transportation Level of Service policies.

The Planning Commission held a Public Hearing on May 16th to receive public testimony on this topic. Materials for the Public Hearing along with materials from previous Planning Commission meetings are available under the "Planning Commission Review" tab above.  Following the Public Hearing, the Commission completed their deliberations and voted on their recommendations to the City Council. 

The City Council process begun on November 5, 2013 with a presentation by the Planning Commission Chair.  He transmitted the Commission's recommendations to the City Council. The first reading of the proposed Ordinance to enact the revised Level of Service policy was conducted on November 18, 2013.  A Public Hearing was held after the first reading.  At the December 3 City Council meeting the second reading was completed followed by discussion and then adoption of the Ordinance, No. 2013-363.  Materials for the City Council meetings are available under the "City Council Process" tab above.

City Staff will prepare an implementing ordinance that will incorporate the adopted LOS policy changes in to the Sammamish Municipal Code.  These changes will result in a new Street Impact Fee rate.  It is anticipated that this work will be completed in early 2014.
